👑 Godfather OG Feminised Seeds — The Don of All OGs

Godfather OG feminised seeds carry the genetics that earned this strain the title "The Don of All OGs" — a 2013 High Times Cannabis Cup winner for Best Indica that later topped the publication's Strongest Strains on Earth list in 2017 with a recorded THC sample of 34%. The XXX OG × Alpha OG cross was developed in Southern California, blending two potent OG Kush derivatives into a 60/40 indica-dominant hybrid that delivers one of the heaviest sedative body effects in the catalogue. At typical grows it tests 22–28% THC — the 34% figure represents an exceptional phenotype under optimal conditions, not the average grow result. That's still among the highest real-world THC levels you'll find anywhere.

On the genetics — what you need to know: Multiple versions of Godfather OG exist under the same name. The Cup-winning original is the XXX OG × Alpha OG cross developed by Alpha Medic Inc. in Southern California. Other breeders have released their own Godfather OG lines using different genetics — including crosses involving Bubba Kush, LA Confidential, and Granddaddy Purple. Quality and characteristics vary significantly between versions. The version we stock is the XXX OG × Alpha OG lineage, which is the primary version and the one with the award pedigree.

What those genetics produced:

  • XXX OG: A heavy indica cross of XXX and OG Kush bred by Maven Genetics, itself a Cannabis Cup winner. Known for exceptional resin production, high THC, and a classic earthy-pine OG terpene profile with dense, frosty flowers
  • Alpha OG: A hunted OG Kush phenotype developed by Alpha Medic Inc. — the same California collective behind Godfather OG. Runs around 25% THC with classic OG terpenes and a deeply relaxing body effect
  • The result: Two OG Kush derivatives stacked on each other, producing a compound potency and resin effect that goes significantly beyond what either parent achieves alone

What you get today: Dense, compact flowers with bright green colouration, large calyxes, purple hairs visible through generous trichome coverage. The aroma is unmistakably OG — earthy pine with grape undertones and a diesel finish. Loud and deep. The buds are heavy with resin, making Godfather OG one of the better extract strains in the catalogue alongside its considerable potency as flower.

Who this is for: Experienced cannabis users seeking the upper end of indica potency. The 22–28% THC combined with a myrcene-dominant terpene profile produces an effect that hits hard, builds fast, and doesn't let up. Not a daytime strain, not a functional evening strain — this is end-of-night cannabis for people who know exactly what they're doing and want maximum effect.

Effects profile: Fast onset with a rush of cerebral euphoria before the indica genetics take over completely. The body effect is deep, heavy, and total. Chronic pain patients find the analgesic effect more complete than lighter strains. Sleep follows naturally. At moderate doses the initial euphoric phase is genuinely pleasant. At higher doses couch-lock is immediate and sustained.

👑 Godfather OG Effects & Experience

Onset (10–15 minutes): Faster than most indicas — the high THC content means Godfather OG hits before you've fully settled. An immediate cerebral rush brings euphoria and a warm happiness. At this stage, despite knowing what's coming, the mood lift is genuinely pleasant. Thoughts brighten, laughter comes easily. This window is brief.

Early phase (15–40 minutes): The indica genetics assert themselves rapidly. Body relaxation begins spreading through the limbs — not gradually, but in waves. Muscle tension releases systemically. Pain signals diminish noticeably. Mental clarity decreases but the euphoric quality remains. Motivation for anything active drops to near zero.

Mid-phase (40–90 minutes): Full body sedation. This is what Godfather OG is known for — a complete, deep, whole-body stone that removes tension, pain, and mental noise simultaneously. The couch is not just appealing, it's the only reasonable option. The myrcene-dominant terpene profile amplifies the THC's sedative uptake, which partly explains why Godfather OG hits harder than its THC percentage alone would predict.

Late-phase (90–180 minutes): Deep sedation and natural progression toward sleep. Many users report the best sleep they've had in extended periods. Appetite increases strongly in this phase. The comedown is gradual rather than abrupt. Morning grogginess is possible at higher doses but not typical at moderate consumption.

Duration: 3–5 hours at typical doses — longer than most strains at equivalent consumption levels. The high myrcene content extends the body effect significantly.

Potency consideration: This is a strain that warrants genuine respect even from experienced users. The fast onset combined with high THC means it's easy to overconsume before the full effect establishes. Start lower than you think necessary. The 22–28% range means phenotypic variation is real — some plants will run toward the lower end, some toward the upper. Either way, this is not an approachable strain for cannabis newcomers.

Flavour profile: Earthy pine on the inhale with spicy grape and diesel undertones. The myrcene base gives it a musky, herbal depth. The grape note — which comes through more clearly in the flavour than the aroma — is a distinguishing characteristic. On a proper cure the complexity increases: woody undertones emerge alongside the pine and the grape sweetens slightly. Classic OG profile elevated by the compound genetics.

Common uses (anecdotal): Severe insomnia, chronic pain management (arthritis, fibromyalgia, back pain, nerve pain), PTSD and severe anxiety, appetite stimulation, end-of-day stress relief, muscle spasm management. Not recommended for anxiety-prone users at high doses — the potency can amplify anxiety in sensitive individuals.

🌱 Growing Godfather OG Feminised Seeds — Complete Guide

(The following is provided for ACT licence holders and growers in legal jurisdictions overseas.)

Experience level required: Intermediate to experienced. Godfather OG is not particularly difficult to grow — OG Kush genetics are reasonably forgiving and the strain has good pest and mould resistance — but the environmental sensitivity (particularly temperature and humidity) and the need for proper training to manage the compact-but-branchy structure reward experience. The dense bud structure requires careful humidity management in late flower. This is not a strain to run as your first grow.

Best growing environments: Indoor under controlled conditions is where Godfather OG excels. The ability to manage temperature and humidity precisely matters with this strain. Outdoor growing works well in warm Australian climates — Mediterranean-style conditions in WA, SA, and inland NSW suit it best. The dense buds are vulnerable in humid coastal environments without good airflow.

Flowering time: 8–9 weeks from 12/12 flip. Most phenotypes complete around 8.5 weeks. Check trichomes from week 7 — at 30% amber you're getting the full narcotic effect. Harvesting earlier gives a slightly more functional body high with less sedation. Don't let it run too long — over-ripeness dulls the grape and pine terpenes.

Total grow time:

  • Standard indoor: 4–6 weeks veg + 8–9 weeks flower = 12–15 weeks total
  • SOG: 2–3 weeks veg + 8 weeks flower = 10–11 weeks total
  • Outdoor: 8–12 weeks veg + 8–9 weeks flower = 16–21 weeks total

Height and structure: Medium and compact indoors — typically 80–100 cm when flipped at 40–50 cm. The OG structure is bushy with multiple lateral branches and good bud site density. Outdoor plants with extended veg can reach 150–180 cm. The stretch in early flower is moderate at 40–60% — manageable in standard tent heights with proper veg timing.

Training strategies:

SOG (Sea of Green): Excellent for Godfather OG — the compact, bushy OG structure produces well in SOG layouts with 9–16 plants per m². Short veg (2–3 weeks), flip early, harvest frequently. The combination of fast cycling and solid yield per m² makes SOG the most efficient approach.

SCROG (Screen of Green): Also effective. The branching structure fills a net well with 4–5 weeks of veg. Good yield and canopy evenness with fewer plants than SOG.

Topping: Recommended for single-plant or SCROG grows. Top once or twice in veg to develop lateral branching and even the canopy. Godfather OG recovers well from topping — typically 4–5 days.

LST: Works well alongside topping. Tie down branches to open the canopy and maximise light exposure across the bushy structure.

Feeding strategy:

Godfather OG has moderate-to-generous nutrient requirements. The high resin production in flower benefits from phosphorus and potassium support. The strain is moderately sensitive to overfeeding — watch tips and back off if browning appears.

Vegetative phase:

  • Start at 1/2 strength for first 2 weeks, build to 3/4 by week 3, full by week 5
  • EC range: 1.4–1.8 in hydro/coco
  • Moderate nitrogen — watch for dark green, clawed leaves
  • CalMag beneficial in coco or with RO water

Early flower (weeks 1–3):

  • Transition nutrients — reduce nitrogen, build phosphorus and potassium
  • EC range: 1.6–2.0
  • Resin production begins early — phosphorus support from week 2 of flower

Mid-late flower (weeks 4–8):

  • Peak feeding for bud density and trichome development
  • EC range: 1.8–2.4 — this strain can handle slightly higher EC than more sensitive genetics
  • Potassium boost supports the heavy resin and terpene production

Final flush (last 10–14 days):

  • Plain pH-adjusted water only
  • The grape and pine terpene profile is cleaner after a proper flush — important for both flavour and smoothness at this potency level
  • Natural leaf yellowing expected and desired

Climate requirements:

Temperature:

  • Vegetative: 22–27°C (lights on), 18–20°C (lights off)
  • Flowering: 20–25°C (lights on), 17–19°C (lights off)
  • Keep below 28°C — above this, resin production slows and THC potential is reduced
  • Cool nights (16–18°C) in the final 2 weeks enhance purple colouration and terpene expression

Humidity:

  • Vegetative: 50–60% RH
  • Early flower: 45–50% RH
  • Mid-late flower: 40–45% RH — strict management essential given the dense bud structure
  • Do not exceed 50% RH from week 4 of flower — bud rot risk is real in these conditions

Airflow:

  • Critical — the compact, dense OG structure restricts airflow through the canopy
  • Oscillating fans directed at the canopy plus strong extraction
  • Moderate defoliation in early flower improves airflow — remove leaves blocking bud sites at the flip and again at week 3

Common issues:

Bud rot: The main risk. The dense flowers trap humidity without adequate airflow. Prevention through strict humidity management and canopy defoliation is far easier than managing rot once established. Check bud sites from week 5 onward — pay particular attention to large colas where airflow is most restricted.

Temperature sensitivity: Godfather OG's terpene and resin production is affected by temperature more noticeably than most strains. Keeping the grow room consistently in the 20–25°C range in flower isn't optional — swings above 28°C visibly affect the final product.

Harvest timing: Don't over-ripen. The pine and grape terpenes degrade past the optimal harvest window. Aim for 30% amber for full narcotic effect but check regularly from week 7.

Hash and concentrate production: Godfather OG is excellent for solventless extraction. The trichome density from the compound OG genetics makes bubble hash, dry sift, and rosin highly productive. If producing concentrates, harvest at 20–25% amber to preserve terpene quality.

🏠 Indoor Growing (Australia)

  • Flowering time: 8–9 weeks under 12/12 — most phenotypes finish at 8.5 weeks
  • Yield: 450–550 g/m² under quality lighting with SOG or SCROG
  • Recommended veg period: 2–3 weeks for SOG, 4–6 weeks for SCROG or single large plants
  • Height management: Compact indoors — rarely a concern with standard tent heights
  • Cycles per year: 4–5 complete SOG cycles annually with 8-week flower and 2–3 week veg
  • Container size: 7–10 L for SOG, 12–18 L for SCROG or single plants
  • Training recommendation: SOG is optimal. SCROG works well. LST and topping effective for single large plants
  • Temperature: Keep lights-on temperature consistently below 25°C — this strain's resin production is genuinely temperature-sensitive

🌿 Outdoor Growing (Southern Hemisphere / Australia)

  • Harvest windows by region:
    • Queensland / Northern NSW: Late March
    • Central NSW / ACT: Early to mid-April
    • Victoria / SA: Mid-April
    • Western Australia: Early to mid-April (Perth area)
    • Tasmania: Mid-April — the 8–9 week flower works in Tasmania's timeframe but watch for autumn cold snaps
  • Yield: 500–650 g per plant with a full season — one of the stronger outdoor yields in the OG category
  • Planting timing: Late October to early November after frost risk passes
  • Climate suitability: WA, SA, and inland NSW are ideal — warm, drier conditions suit the dense bud structure. Coastal Queensland and NSW require careful airflow management around the buds from late February onward
  • Purple expression: Run cool overnight temperatures in March (16–18°C) — Godfather OG develops genuine purple and blue hues in the buds that contrast dramatically against the orange hairs and trichome frost
  • Height: Outdoor plants can reach 150–180 cm with extended veg — stake the main stem and support heavy branches from week 5 of flower
  • Pest management: Good natural resistance to pests and mould, but the dense buds are not immune to bud rot in sustained humidity. Inspect weekly from week 5 of flower

🗓️ Godfather OG Week-by-Week Grow Guide

Godfather OG runs 8–9 weeks from flip. It's a fast-finishing, compact OG with temperature-sensitive resin production. Here's what to expect at each stage.

Phase / Week What's Happening Key Actions Watch Out For
Veg weeks 1–3
Seedling / early veg
Roots establishing. First true leaves developing. The bushy OG structure begins showing early. Start at 1/2 strength nutrients. 18/6 light. Humidity 55–65% RH. Top at the 4th–5th node once established. Moderate feeding — OG genetics are somewhat sensitive to overfeeding. Tip burn early signals to back off before damage accumulates.
Veg weeks 4–6
Mid-late veg
Lateral branching developing. SOG plants ready to flip at 2–3 weeks. SCROG plants filling the screen. LST branches through the screen or laterally. Build to full nutrients. For SOG: flip when plants reach 25–30 cm. For SCROG: flip at 60–70% screen coverage. Temperature — establish your grow room temperature control now. Godfather OG is more sensitive to heat in flower than most strains. If you can't hold below 25°C, address it before the flip.
Flower weeks 1–3
Stretch / early flower
Moderate stretch — 40–60% height increase from flip height. Bud sites establishing. The earthy-pine OG aroma begins building from week 3. Transition to bloom nutrients. EC range 1.6–2.0. Manage any branches pushing above the canopy. Reduce RH to 45–50%. Height is manageable but monitor — supercrop any branches pushing too high rather than letting them get close to the lights.
Flower weeks 4–6
Mid flower / bud stacking
Dense buds stacking rapidly. Trichome production accelerating. The grape note in the aroma becomes more distinct. Carbon filtration essential. Peak feeding — EC range 1.8–2.4. Potassium boost from week 5. Drop RH to 40–45%. Light defoliation to maintain airflow through the dense canopy. Temperature — the most critical window for trichome and terpene development. Keep lights-on temps below 25°C. Above this and resin production slows visibly. Keep bud rot risk low with airflow and RH management.
Flower weeks 7–8
Late flower / ripening
Buds fattening and hardening. Purple colouration developing. Trichomes transitioning from clear to cloudy. Pistils darkening. Aroma at peak intensity. Check trichomes from day 49. Drop nights to 16–18°C for purple expression and terpene tightening. Begin flush when 10–15% amber visible. Maintain strict RH below 45%. Over-ripening — the pine and grape terpenes degrade past the optimal harvest window. Check every 2–3 days from week 7. Harvest at 25–30% amber for full narcotic effect.
Flush & harvest
Days 56–63
Final ripening. Natural leaf yellowing. Dense purple and green colas covered in trichome frost. The most visually impressive harvest stage of any OG in the catalogue. Plain pH-adjusted water for 10–14 days. Harvest at 25–30% amber. Slow dry at 15–18°C, 55–60% RH for 10–14 days. Don't rush the dry — the grape and pine terpenes are volatile. A fast hot dry destroys the flavour profile you've spent 8 weeks building.
Post-harvest
Cure
The terpene complexity continues developing in the jar. The grape note sharpens significantly over a long cure. This is a strain where patience in the jar is rewarded more than most. Jar at 60–65% RH. Burp daily for two weeks. Seal and wait. 4 weeks minimum. 8–12 weeks is dramatically better for the full flavour expression. Opening the jars too early. The original page notes "12 weeks ideal" — that's not hype. Godfather OG at 12 weeks cure is materially different to the same material at 4 weeks.

🔍 Godfather OG — Common Myths vs Reality

Godfather OG is one of the most hyped strains in the world. That hype has generated a lot of misinformation. Here's what's accurate.

The Myth The Reality
"Godfather OG regularly produces 34% THC." 34.04% was a single exceptional lab result from one phenotype under optimal conditions in 2017 — not a typical outcome. Real-world grows consistently produce 22–28%, with 24–26% being the most common result for competent growers. That's still among the highest real-world THC levels available, but expecting 34% from a standard grow is setting up for disappointment. Plan around 24–26% as your realistic target.
"All Godfather OG seeds carry the same genetics." They don't. Multiple breeders have released Godfather OG lines under the same name using different parent genetics — including crosses of Bubba Kush × LA Confidential × Granddaddy Purple, and OG Kush × Granddaddy Purple. These are different strains with different characteristics. The version with the 2013 Cannabis Cup award is the XXX OG × Alpha OG version from Alpha Medic Inc. — which is what we stock. Always check which genetic version you're buying.
"Godfather OG is hard to grow." It's intermediate, not hard. The OG Kush genetics give it reasonable pest and mould resistance, and the compact structure is manageable. The genuine challenges are temperature sensitivity in flower (keep below 25°C — resin production is visibly affected above this), humidity management with the dense buds, and harvest timing. Outside of these points, it grows predictably and responds well to standard OG training techniques.
"The outdoor harvest is in September/October." That's the Northern Hemisphere date. In Australia, Godfather OG harvests late March to mid-April depending on region — Queensland and Northern NSW in late March, Victoria and SA in mid-April. This is a common error on product pages copied from Northern Hemisphere sources without regional adjustment.
"Godfather OG only yields 450 g/m²." 450–550 g/m² is the accurate range under good conditions. The lower end of that range (and the "up to 450 g/m²" figure on the original page) understates what competent growers achieve. Multiple independent sources and grower reports confirm 500–550 g/m² is achievable with SOG or SCROG under quality lighting. The compact OG structure is well-suited to SOG efficiency.
"Godfather OG will cause extreme anxiety." At high doses, high-THC strains can amplify anxiety in sensitive individuals — this is true of any 25%+ THC cannabis. At moderate doses, Godfather OG is reported as calming and euphoric without the racing quality that triggers anxiety in high-THC sativas. The indica dominance and myrcene-heavy terpene profile generally work against anxiety rather than for it. Start low and titrate — the same advice that applies to any high-potency indica.

🧠 Jason's Tip — Growing Godfather OG

The temperature sensitivity is the thing most growers underestimate with this strain. I've seen Godfather OG grows run a few degrees too warm through flower and produce perfectly good cannabis — but not the Godfather OG those genetics are capable of. The resin density and the grape terpene expression both suffer noticeably above 25°C in flower. If you're running an environment that pushes 28°C in summer, either wait for autumn to run this strain or invest in adequate cooling first. It's worth it — the difference between a warm grow and a properly controlled one with these genetics is significant.

The other thing is the cure. Godfather OG at a 12-week cure is a materially different experience to the same material at 3 weeks. The current page even mentions this — 4 weeks minimum, 12 weeks ideal — and that's accurate. The pine and grape terpenes keep developing in the jar. Most growers won't wait 12 weeks, but anything under 4 weeks is leaving the strain's flavour potential on the table.

On the THC claims: you'll see 34% quoted everywhere for this strain — that was a single exceptional lab result from one phenotype under optimal conditions. Typical real-world grows produce 22–28%. That's still exceptional by any standard, but going in expecting 34% and getting 24% is a setup for disappointment. Plan around 24–26% as a realistic target. If your phenotype pushes higher, that's a bonus.

👑 Is Godfather OG Right for Your Grow?

✅ Godfather OG is the right choice if:

  • Maximum potency is the priority — 22–28% real-world THC is among the highest available
  • You need serious pain relief, insomnia management, or therapeutic body effect that lighter strains don't provide
  • You want an end-of-night strain with complete sedation — not a functional evening smoke
  • You're running SOG and want a compact, fast-finishing OG that cycles efficiently
  • Hash and concentrate production is part of your plan — the trichome density is exceptional
  • You want visually impressive buds with purple colouration and heavy frost coverage
  • You can maintain grow room temperature below 25°C in flower

❌ Consider a different strain if:

  • You want a functional evening high — Godfather OG is not that strain at typical doses
  • You're newer to cannabis — 22–28% THC with fast onset is overwhelming without established tolerance
  • Your grow space runs warm in summer — above 25°C in flower significantly affects this strain's quality
  • You need maximum yield per cycle — 450–550 g/m² is solid but not exceptional by modern standards
  • You want a social, mood-lifting strain — the sedation comes on fast and dominates
  • You have anxiety sensitivity — high-potency indicas can amplify anxiety in some users at higher doses

👑 Real User Experiences

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I have severe insomnia and this is the only strain I've found that actually puts me to sleep and keeps me there. The initial euphoria is genuinely pleasant — brief but real — then the body effect comes in and it's over. Slept through the night for the first time in over a year after the first session." — Medical user, NSW

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Ran a SOG with 12 plants in a 1.2m × 1.2m tent. Finished in 56 days from flip. Pulled 560g total. The buds are extraordinary — dense, purple-tipped, completely covered in trichomes. Made rosin from the trim and the yield was the best I've seen from any strain. The concentrate is smooth and incredibly potent." — Indoor grower, Melbourne

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Nothing in the head — total body relaxation. Very peaceful, not like wanting to go to sleep but you want to be horizontal with quiet music. The grape and pine flavour at 8 weeks cure was outstanding. Absolutely a peaceful, beautiful high." — Leafly review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Grew outdoors in SA, harvested mid-April. Around 600g per plant from two large containers. The purple colouration after the March nights was extraordinary — near black with orange hairs showing through the trichome layer. One of the most visually impressive harvests I've done." — Outdoor grower, South Australia

❓ Frequently Asked Questions — Godfather OG Feminised Seeds

👑 What is Godfather OG and why is it called "The Don of All OGs"?

Godfather OG is an indica-dominant hybrid (XXX OG × Alpha OG) bred in Southern California that won 1st Place Best Indica at the High Times Cannabis Cup in Los Angeles in 2013, then topped the publication's Strongest Strains on Earth list in 2017 with a recorded THC sample of 34%. The "Don of All OGs" nickname reflects both the award pedigree and the potency — it's an OG Kush derivative stacked on another OG Kush derivative, producing a compound effect that goes beyond either parent. The name has stuck because the strain earned it.

🔥 Does Godfather OG really test at 34% THC?

One exceptional phenotype under optimal conditions did record 34.04% in a lab test — that's the result that put it on the High Times strongest strains list in 2017 and it's a real, verified figure. However, it's not a typical grow result. Real-world grows consistently produce 22–28% THC, with 24–26% being the most common outcome for competent growers. That's still among the highest THC levels you'll find in any strain, but going in expecting 34% from a standard grow is setting unrealistic expectations. Plan around 24–26% as your realistic target.

💤 How strong are the sedative effects?

Very strong — among the most complete body sedation in the catalogue. The myrcene-dominant terpene profile amplifies the THC uptake, which partly explains why Godfather OG hits harder than its THC percentage alone would suggest. At moderate doses you get deep physical relaxation with an initial euphoric phase. At higher doses it's immediate couch-lock followed by sleep. This is not a functional evening strain — it's an end-of-night strain. Most medical users report it's the most effective sleep and pain management strain they've tried.

⏱ How long does Godfather OG take to flower?

8–9 weeks from the 12/12 flip, with most phenotypes completing around 8.5 weeks. Check trichomes from week 7. Harvest at 30% amber for maximum sedative and analgesic effect. The pine and grape terpenes degrade if the plant runs too far past the optimal window — don't let it over-ripen.

🌾 What yields can I expect?

450–550 g/m² indoors under good lighting with SOG or SCROG. Outdoor plants in good conditions produce 500–650 g. The current page listed "up to 450 g/m²" which undersells it — multiple independent sources and grower reports confirm the higher end is consistently achievable under competent cultivation. SOG is the most efficient technique for this strain given the compact structure and fast 8-week flower.

🧬 Are there multiple versions of Godfather OG?

Yes — and this is worth understanding before purchasing from any seed bank. The original Cup-winning Godfather OG is the XXX OG × Alpha OG cross from Alpha Medic Inc. in Southern California. However, multiple other breeders have released their own Godfather OG lines under the same name using different genetics — including crosses with Bubba Kush, LA Confidential, and Granddaddy Purple. Quality and characteristics vary significantly. The version we stock is the XXX OG × Alpha OG lineage with the award pedigree.

🌱 Is Godfather OG difficult to grow?

Intermediate difficulty. The OG Kush genetics give it better-than-average pest and mould resistance, and the compact structure is manageable. The areas requiring attention are temperature management in flower (keep below 25°C — the terpene and resin production are genuinely temperature-sensitive), humidity management in late flower (dense buds need airflow and RH below 45% from week 4), and harvest timing (don't over-ripen — check trichomes from week 7). Outside of these points, it grows predictably and rewards standard training techniques well.

🧪 Is Godfather OG good for hash and concentrates?

Excellent — one of the better extract strains in the catalogue. The compound OG genetics (OG Kush derivative × OG Kush derivative) produce trichome density that's above average even by high-THC standards. Bubble hash, dry sift, and rosin all return strong yields. For concentrate production, harvest at 20–25% amber rather than the full 30% to preserve terpene quality in the extract. The grape and pine terpene profile translates well into rosin — smooth and distinctively flavoured.

🌡️ What are the ideal growing conditions?

Temperature: 22–27°C veg (day), 20–25°C flower (day — keep below 25°C), 17–19°C nights. Drop to 16–18°C overnight in the final 2 weeks for purple expression.
Humidity: 50–60% veg, 45–50% early flower, 40–45% mid-late flower. Strict management from week 4.
Light cycle: 18/6 veg, 12/12 to flower.
pH: 6.0–6.5 soil, 5.5–6.0 coco/hydro.
EC: 1.4–1.8 veg, 1.8–2.4 flower. Handles slightly higher EC than more sensitive genetics.

🏆 What awards has Godfather OG won?

1st Place Best Indica at the High Times Cannabis Cup in Los Angeles in 2013, won by Alpha Medic Inc. with the XXX OG × Alpha OG version. Subsequently topped High Times' Strongest Strains on Earth list in 2017 with a 34.04% THC sample. Both accolades are for the same genetic lineage — the original California version, not the various alternative Godfather OG lines that emerged later under the same name.

🌈 Does Godfather OG develop purple colouration?

Yes, reliably — one of the more visually striking finishes in the catalogue. The large calyxes develop purple and blue hues in late flower, particularly with cool overnight temperatures (16–18°C) in the final two weeks. The colour contrasts dramatically against the bright orange hairs and the heavy trichome frost layer. Some phenotypes express darker than others but all Godfather OG plants develop some purple colouration under cool conditions. Outdoor growers in Australia running March nights cool will see particularly strong expression before the April harvest.

Firstly, love the work of Jess here at Sacred Seeds. I've made several purchases from here and always been pleasantly surprised with how quickly I have received my packages. All grows have been successful and with a high germination rate, good yields and perfumes to tantalize the olfactory. Have easily cloned a few from beans purchased from Sacred Seeds. The current Permanent Marker and Godfather OG strains are growing very well. So far so good! About to purchase Future #1 before they sell out a 2nd time lol

The delivery time was excellent and discreet
I purchased 5 seeds, I planted all of them in the same conditions, 2 came up and 3 unfortunately have failed to germinate...this is the first time that this has happened.
I normally get 100% germination and I've purchased over 100 seeds from this site.
The 2 that have come up are looking very strong and healthy, I'm looking forward to the harvest season 😀
