Frequently Asked Questions
About Seeds 🌱
What’s the difference between photoperiod and autoflower seeds?
-
Photoperiod seeds: These plants need a change in their light cycle to start flowering. Outdoors, that happens naturally as the days get shorter at the end of summer. Indoors, growers usually switch the lights to 12 hours on / 12 hours off to “tell” the plant it’s time to flower. They often grow bigger and can produce larger harvests, but they take more time and attention.
-
Autoflower seeds: These plants don’t care about light changes — they automatically start flowering after a few weeks of growth. That means they’re usually faster to finish and smaller in size, which some people like for a quicker turnaround. The trade-off is they don’t usually yield as much as photoperiod plants.
How should cannabis seeds be stored for best longevity?
Keep seeds in a cool, dark, and dry environment. Short-term, in the airtight bag/ tube/ tuppaware, in the back of a cupboard or draw is fine. Long term, ideal conditions are around 6–8 °C (e.g., a fridge in an airtight container with a silica pack). Avoid temperature swings and moisture, which can shorten viability.
How do I choose which seeds to get?
It depends on what you’re after — effect, grow setup, and experience level all play a role.
- For classic, high-yield grows → Photoperiod seeds are the traditional choice. They take longer to finish but reward patience with larger, more vigorous plants and bigger harvests.
- For speed and flexibility → Autoflower seeds don’t rely on light cycle changes and finish faster. Compact and straightforward — a good fit if you’re working with limited space or a shorter outdoor season.
- For effect → Indicas and indica-dominant hybrids lean toward deep physical relaxation. Sativas and sativa-dominant hybrids tend toward energy, creativity, and cerebral clarity. Balanced hybrids sit in between.
- For photoperiod quality with a faster finish → Fast Version seeds are worth knowing about. Same genetics as our photoperiod range, finishing 2–3 weeks earlier.

Where can I learn the basics before I start growing?
We put together a Beginner’s Guide covering everything you need before your first seed goes in the ground — germination method, water quality, seedling care, and seed storage. It’s written for Australian conditions and organised in the order you’ll actually need it. Read the Beginner’s Guide →
Ordering & Shipping 🚚
How quickly do you ship orders?
We dispatch most orders on the same or next business day once payment has cleared. During peak periods or public holidays it may occasionally take a little longer, but we process orders as quickly as possible.
We offer two options at checkout — tracked standard ($9) or free untracked letter post. Full details on both, including expected delivery timeframes and our policy on missing orders, are on our payment and delivery page.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Delivery times depend on your location and which shipping option you choose at checkout.
For tracked standard orders, Australia Post guidelines are 3–7 business days after dispatch. Free untracked letter post runs on a similar timeframe but without visibility on progress once it leaves us. Remote and regional areas may take a little longer.
If your tracked order hasn’t arrived within 7 business days, check your tracking link first. If you chose untracked and nothing has arrived within 15 business days of your dispatch confirmation, contact us and we’ll follow up.
Do you guarantee delivery?
For tracked orders, if your package doesn’t arrive and Australia Post confirms it’s lost rather than delayed, we’ll resend at no extra cost. As long as the address you provided is correct, you’re covered.
For untracked letter post, we can’t confirm loss through Australia Post but we’ll resend if nothing has arrived within 15 business days of your dispatch confirmation. That’s the trade-off with the free option — less visibility, but we’ll still make it right if the wait runs unreasonably long.
Either way, if something goes wrong with your order contact us and we’ll sort it out.
How discreet is the packaging?
All orders are sent in plain envelopes with no branding or identifying marks. There’s nothing on the outside to suggest what’s inside. We use biodegradeable and bags and bubble wrap to protect the package, and using this method we have close to 100% success in shipping seeds that are healthy and undamaged.
Seed Quality & Testing 🌱
Do you guarantee germination?
Seeds are living, organic material, and like all biological systems, natural variation is part of the process. Expecting every seed to germinate in every situation isn’t realistic — even with high-quality genetics and careful handling.
That’s why our focus is on strong overall viability, not absolute perfection. A germination rate in the 80–90% range is considered healthy and normal across the industry, and outcomes like 4 out of 5 seeds germinating fall well within expected parameters.
To support our customers, we offer a Germination Guarantee. To make a claim under this guarantee, customers are required to test seeds using the paper towel method, and to provide:
-
their order number
-
clear, time-stamped photos showing the seeds during testing
-
a brief outline of the testing conditions used, including temperature, water source, and timeframe
Where a claim is approved, support is provided at our discretion in the form of replacement seeds included with a future order or store credit. This approach allows us to resolve issues fairly while maintaining consistent standards across all cases.

How do you test your seeds?
We use the paper towel method to keep our checks consistent and fair. Seeds are placed on damp tissues (not soaked), kept in a dark covered container at a steady ~22 °C, and monitored daily for up to 5 days. We always use pure water (rain or filtered) and clean tweezers, never bare hands. [Read more → How We Test]
What methods are not covered by your Quality Guarantee?
Only the paper towel method at 22-25 °C with pure water is part of our testing process. Other approaches — including direct to soil, peat pellets, rockwool, hydroponics, or outdoor sowing — add too many variables and are not covered.
Why do you use tweezers instead of fingers?
Tweezers protect seeds from skin oils, dirt, and pressure that can damage seed coats. This keeps handling consistent and prevents contamination during our tests.
What type of water should I use?
We recommend rainwater or filtered water only. Tap water often contains chlorine or other additives that can interfere with seed viability.
Payments & Privacy 💳
What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept bank transfer and cryptocurrency. If you can’t make a bank transfer, we can provide a secure link so you can pay by card. The reason we do not accept credit/ debit card payments on checkout is for your own privacy and safety. Trust us, bank transfer is the best way.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All card payments are processed through trusted third-party gateways. We don’t store or have access to your card details. Bank transfers and crypto payments are also handled securely outside our site.
Will my card/bank statement show anything sensitive?
No. As long as you just use your order number when making payment.
Collector Information 📦
What does “souvenir/collector’s item” mean?
It means seeds are intended for collection, preservation, and display. Many collectors value them for their genetics, heritage, and rarity — much like vintage coins or trading cards.
How should I store seeds for long-term collection?
Keep seeds in a cool, dark, and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight, temperature swings, and excess moisture. Many collectors use airtight containers with a silica pack for added protection. Stored properly, seeds can remain viable for years. Learn more here.

What happens if my order doesn’t arrive?
We offer a delivery guarantee. As long as the address you provided is correct, we’ll resend your order at no extra cost if the first package does not arrive.
How can I contact support?
