Germination Guarantee (Seed Quality & Viability)

Our seeds are sold strictly as souvenirs and collector’s items. We don’t encourage or condone germination where it is not permitted by law. That said, Sacred Seeds understands that seed quality and viability are of utmost importance to our customers.

For this reason, every pack we sell is backed by our Germination Guarantee, grounded in rigorous testing, careful sourcing, and strict storage standards.

Every batch that leaves our hands has been sourced, tested, and stored to the highest standards. Germination testing is a core part of our quality control process.

In our internal tests, it is common for 90–100% of seeds to germinate when the recommended method is used. On rare occasions where a batch performs below our benchmark, it is removed from sale and replaced before reaching customers.

What Our Germination Guarantee Covers

✔ Sourcing – Seeds are sourced exclusively from established breeders in Europe and the US
✔ Double Testing – Each batch is tested using the paper towel method at ~22–25 °C with pure water
✔ Strict Storage – Seeds are handled carefully and stored under stable conditions to preserve viability
✔ Authenticity – Seeds are true to the breeder’s line; anything that falls short is removed

When to Contact Us

If you experience unexpectedly poor germination results after following the paper towel method described above, please get in touch once testing is complete (typically after up to 7 days).

We ask that you contact us before discarding seeds or changing methods, so we can assess the situation accurately.

What We’ll Ask For

To review your claim fairly, we’ll need:

• Your order number

• Clear, time-stamped photos showing the seeds during testing

• A brief description of:

  • Temperature

  • Water used

  • Timeframe tested

This helps us confirm that the method was followed and identify whether there may be a batch-related issue.

What Happens Next

Once we’ve reviewed the information:

• If the Germination Guarantee applies, we’ll offer a fair resolution, typically in the form of store credit or replacement added to a future order.

• If the issue appears unrelated to seed quality or falls outside the scope of the guarantee, we’ll explain why and offer guidance where possible.

All cases are reviewed individually and handled reasonably.
As seeds are living biological material, outcomes can vary, which is why our guarantee focuses on method, evidence, and fair assessment rather than automatic outcomes. Please note there are many factors that can influence seed viability.
